SMP is divided into three interface forms based on different connection retention forces: light hole, half escapement, and full escapement, which meet different application requirements.

1. SMP connectors have a slight mismatch offset, making them widely used in dense assembly, matrix antennas, artificial satellites, military radars, airborne equipment, and other applications.
2. Compared with SMA: Advantages: SMP has a smaller volume (compatible with 4.3mm spacing), supports blind insertion, and has a higher frequency upper limit (40GHz vs. 18GHz for SMA); Disadvantage: SMA threaded connections have better stability and are suitable for long-term fixed scenarios.
