Advantages of RG214 coaxial cable: excellent shielding performance (EMI/RFI suppression). Relatively low signal attenuation (especially in the mid to low frequency range). High power processing capability (average and peak). Good mechanical strength and durability. Meets military standards.
Disadvantages: Large size and heavy weight. Relatively poor flexibility, large bending radius, and less convenient installation and wiring compared to thin cables. Higher cost (more expensive than RG58, RG213, etc.). High frequency attenuation (>1 GHz) is relatively greater for semi-rigid or low loss feed tubes (such as 1/2 "or 7/8" feed tubes). When selecting, if the highest shielding efficiency is required, RG214 is superior to RG213; If pursuing lower costs and slightly better high-frequency performance (attenuation), semi-rigid cables or larger air medium feed tubes may be alternative solutions.
